How to make your own 88 x 31 button (Page 3).
The final job is to add some text to the button,
first of all we need to change the colour away from that
brown colour we've just used, to do this click on the
front top window on the right side of the screen, a
window should then open which will allow you to
select a colour. Once you've selected the colour for
your text click
on the text tool (which is a large black "A"), then
click anywhere on the button.
A window will then open which allows you to select
a font, a size for the font (between 16 and 30 points
is about right for this size of button) and other
choices such as "Bold" etc. Once you've decided on
all these, click "Ok" and the text should appear on
your button and you'll be able to move it around to
get it into the correct position.
If the text is too big or too small, simply
select "Edit" then "Undo Text Tool", this will
remove the text from the button and allow you to
try again.
Here's mine now that I've applied two lots of
text.
Final job is to resize the image down to its finished
size of 88 x 31. Select "Image", then "Resize" put
"31" into the "Height" box and the width should automatically
become 88.
Finally select "Colours" then "Decrease Colour Depth" and then
"256 Colours". Here's the finished button.
If you want to animate your button, or do some advanced effects
I'll be adding some new tutorials over the next few days.
